Lisa had to say...

UPDATED    Mother of three grown kids, the youngest just left for college . Retired from office job with a Goodyear dealer after woking for nearly thirty years. Enjoying being at home with my  husband. Have really enjoyed being able to sit up as late as I want to and finish that book that has had me enthralled all day. Have taken a few classes at the local community college to keep my brain from turning totally  to mush. Love to work out of doors. Spend a great deal of time in the spring and summer working in the yard in the morning and piled up  reading  in the hammock or at the pool in the afternoon. I love to read a good romance, a good horror story, or a funny romance story. I also love the historical fictions by Phillipa Gregory. My most recent favorites have been the "Sookie Stackhouse" series by Charlene Harris.

I have finished the Feehan books ,all except the newest. Have been reading JD Robb's "In Death" series, although I had to take a break to read the latest Stephinie Meyer book. I don't usually read teen fiction but wanted to see what all the excitment was about.(the last time there was this much was when HP hit the scenes) A very well written series that targets teens emotion right on the dot, plus the extra tension of young vamp/teen love. I have recently taken up paranormal romances to read and have found lots and lots of new authors and books to read. Have been reading the Charlene Harris books, on #6 of the Sookie Stackhouse and have loved them. I love being able to collect the whole series and then read them one after another.

I tend to find an author I like and then read everything I can get my hands on by that author until I get either burnout on that author or run out of books by them. I was totally estatic to find this web site to swap books as I seldom reread a book and tend to collect way to many at home before taking them to our local book exchange. I have ceased doing this and now make my used friends available to other people to whom an unread book is still a "new" book. I love collecting a series before I delve into another world.

I have oodles of older(2001 or earlier) Romance books. If you like this type of book don't hesitate to make me an offer. 2 for 1 or even 3 for 1. As long as the postage is about the same. I would really like to pass these older books on to someone who would enjoy them.

What I like to read

Have recently started reading paranormals. I was amazed to find so many great authors with really fantastic series. I love a series of books as it lets you get to know most of the characters on a deeper level. The Feehan "Carpathian" family was unbelievable, I was entralled for months while reading about this amazing group of "people". I also fell in love with Lori Handleland, Lynsay Sands, Maggie Shayne, Kim Harrison, Nina Bangs, MaryJanice Davidson, and just too many more to mention. I never thought I would like this type of book but most are very well written and have an emotional level that hooks you into pulling for the traditional bad guys.
